Jay was born and raised in Virginia, and has had a love for building since he received his first Lincoln Log set from his mom. Jay’s passion turned into a career building everything from boat houses to waterfront properties. Jay owned and operated John Howard Construction until Trade Winds of Virginia came knocking. Jay answered the call and worked for three years for the lumber retailer taking charge of purchasing, shipping, and sales. As Vice President for Rinehart Custom Homes, Jay believes the details of the finished product are equally important to the design and planning of a new home. It’s Jay’s job to see that these details meet the highest scrutiny.

Susan has had a long and varied career in the building industry, working for companies of all sizes. Often Susan will be the first person you will speak to when calling Rinehart Custom Homes. She handles all administrative functions for the company and enjoys the variety of challenges that come with the job. One of the things Susan likes most about her day is working with the public.
